Traumatic Brain Injury

Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBIs) are a group of heterogeneous brain disorders which include varying degrees and etiologies of primary underlying injury, The focus of the neurointensivist is to not only stabilize the patient during their initial acute presentation,  but also to prevent subsequent secondary injury and further neurologic decline / decompensation in the proceeding hours, days, and sometimes weeks.
